Amateur Productions: Opera and Musicals
Join the cast!
For beginners and amateurs alike, make your vocal dreams come true with High St Broadway for our musical stars in the making, or High St Opera for those who love the drama and music of operatic favourites! Perfect for the budding 11 year old who has been learning voice for about a year, or the retired tradie who is a closet opera buff and wants to put his vocal skills to good use at something different to the local choir.
Welcoming all ages and levels (especially adults) – we have a part for everyone!
Beginning with a meet and greet (and an informal assessment) before the start of your first class, to the final performance at the end of each semester, we accept enrolments at any week of the year, and run during school terms.
Vincerooooooo… Vinceeeeeeeeeroooo! Join the opera cast!
Divas and heroes alike will love being in a part of the mini-productions at High St Opera. For all amateur opera lovers or students of opera, join the cast as we enact a couple of scenes, sing a few ensembles of operatic heroes and heroines like Carmen, Pamina or The Pirate King.
Young voice students, bathroom sopranos or tenors (as well as altos & baritones!) of all ages who love singing opera classics will find the perfect opportunity to follow their dreams in High St Opera.
Already have classical voice training? Perfect! Join a likeminded cast (and colleagues) with opera experience.
Sing your operatic favourites – duets, trios, quartets… with the occasional aria thrown in!
