KROTCHET KIDS: Get ready to play!
Krotchet Kids is the next step in your child’s musical life. Designed for primary school aged children in Kindergarten to Year 2, Krotchet Kids helps young children to gain the musical skills they need in preparation for learning an instrument. Children develop skills and understanding of musical concepts, including duration, pitch and dynamics. In class, your child will investigate a wide variety of musical concepts: they will learn the basics of vocal development; play simple instruments and explore music through songs, games and stories. Your child will begin to learn basic musical notation and rhythmic ideas, and to learn scales through the use of songs and solfège.
A small amount of homework will be set each week – this helps to develop a routine for practice when learning an instrument, as well as a sense of responsibility in caring for their music book and remembering to bring it each week.
Tuesdays 4pm – 4.45pm during school term time (see below for term dates).
Course Fees (8 weeks per term)
$160 per term
