FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS – Anthony Silvestrini

Free pop-up music lounge featuring Anthony Silvestrini aka Empty Fish Tank (guitarist singer/songwriter) performing solo 5pm-8pm

Empty Fish Tank is the pop/rock solo project for Anthony Silvestrini from Western Sydney. 2014 saw him release debut album Same Old Same Old, drawing from influences such as Wilco and Powderfinger; plus mixed by Brad Jones (Bob Evans). Lead singles ‘Are You Sticking Around?‘ and ‘Long Gone‘ captured a fun, joyous atmosphere featuring multiple vocal hooks and horn blasts that are replicated at every live gig. On the other end of the spectrum, ‘ Frozen Ocean‘ depicted a warmer, more intimate tone highlighted by gentle acoustic guitar work and string lines to match.

Now, after supporting alongside The Cockroaches, Lime Cordiale and numerous others in the Western Sydney region, plus releasing a live album  ‘Live At The Tattersalls Hotel Penrith’, Empty Fish Tank is currently recording and is very much set to release the sophomore album hopefully by the end of the year.

Empty Fish Tank – think Van Morrison and Paul Demspey having dinner.
