FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS – Nic Cassey

Penrith's favourite pop-up lounge is open again Friday Oct 7 at The Joan - drinks, food and music in our Borland Bar. Free from 5-8pm.

Nic Cassey is a freelance composer and drummer who works across several artistic and cultural fields and disciplines around Sydney.

Nic performs and composes in styles from folk to rock and electronica to world music.

His band Nic Cassey and Friends are one of Sydney’s must-see bands and includes members such as piano player Louise Nutting (Wartime Sweethearts), jazz guitarist Scott Leishman (Jackie Orszáczky) and guitarist Leroy Lee.

As a solo musician, Nic mixes his feel for rhythm and composition to great effect.

Here’s a snippet of Nic’s sound for you to listen to, but why not come along to The Joan’s Friday Night Lights on 7 October from 5pm-8pm where you can hear him perform live – and free!

Come feast and be nourished!
