Obviously!

Following four young men and women - of the BFF kind - who live in the same apartment complex and face life and love somewhere in Western Sydney. A Q Indie production as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival.

“How can we be more than what we obviously are?”

OBVIOUSLY is a queer sitcom following four twenty-something BFFs and the assumptions they are labelled with – that they are ‘obviously’ queer, ‘obviously’ ethnic, ‘obviously’ Westies.

Can they survive the casual racism? Fall in love while navigating internalised POC prejudice? Make it to work in time? You’ll have to watch the show to find out. Obviously!

Come binge-watch your new favourite show, with three episodes performed back-to-back as one full-length play! A love letter to the TV SITCOM formats we all grew up watching, but didn’t see ourselves in, there’s no straight white guys to be found, only queer/ethnic diverse bodies. And you’re our live studio audience!
