The Shoe-Horn Sonata

Experience a key part of Australia’s history through the story of two women reuniting on the 50th anniversary of WWII

Emu Heights Theatre Company presents The Shoe-Horn Sonata by John Misto

Experience a key part of Australia’s history through the story of two women, reuniting on the fiftieth anniversary of WWII. Share in their stories as Prisoners of War as they relive the memories of the people, events and the songs of the time, and uncover a secret that keep them apart for half a century.

John Misto’s The Shoe-Horn Sonata is a heartfelt memorial to the women who endured the horrors of war, and to the power of music, mateship, and freedom.

Celebrating its fifth year supporting independent theatre in Penrith, Emu Heights Theatre Company is proud to remount their 2012 production of the play. See John Misto’s beautiful modern classic for its 20th anniversary at the Joan.
